Launch of Global App

/ Challenge

DHL turned to Moving Adverts to help them bring to life their new Mobile App for trial in the GCC, but with a wider view to launch across the globe and have the best exposure to all cultures and languages. We were requested to make a walkthrough video showing some feature of the app and how it was going to be available to make shipping for the customer far more simple.

We were requested to talk about the heritage of the brand, their achievements and the growth across the region in a part footage, part animation short film.

/ Execution

With the global launch view and range of countries this would be seen in, simplicity was the key. Swipe and touch were the aspects we believed almost all of our global target market would understand.

Therefore our virtual style animation was used to communicate the idea that this app will help DHL customers simplify there logistical needs and most of the consumers around the world would understand this just from the screen actions and create a call to action to download the app and try it.

/ Result

App testing was launched in Saudi Arabia to see how existing consumers responded to the new product. The initial uptake showed that over 80% of existing clients downloaded and trialled the app.

Global launch was rolled out region by region and almost all locations had more than anticipated uptake. The client was very pleased with our continued collaboration.
